BPW Annual Schools Public Speaking Competition

Coláiste Einde Win BPW Galway Regional Public Speaking Competition 

BPW Galway hosted their Regional Public Speaking Competition on Thursday 8th November in the Ardilaun Hotel. Seven schools from Galway & Mayo competed for the title with Coláiste Einde, Salthill taking top honours in the event.  Best Runner-up was Davitt College, Castlebar.   

Students spoke across the topic of Peace with the winners presenting on 'Three Steps to Achieve your Ambition'.  The Judging panel of Aoife Mc Nena, Intuity Managed IT, Bernadette Prendergast, Galway Bay FM and Ciara Geraghty, Proactive Design and Marketing had the tough job of selecting the winners. 

Both schools will now go on to represent Connacht at the National Finals on November 17th in Tullamore. The National Winners will present at the BPW European Conference in Galway in May 2019. 

The Public Speaking Competition is a core part of the programme of BPW who's ethos is to share, educate and give a voice to women. The next event to be hosted by BPW Galway is their Business Networking Evening with guest speaker Laura Lynch on Monday 19th November in the Ardilaun Hotel.
